Nicole Starosielski

Nicole Starosielski is Professor in the Department of Film and Media at University of California, Berkeley. She is author of The Undersea Network (2015), a book on the history of the cable industry and the social aspects of submarine cable construction and maintenance. Her current research focuses on the environmental and social impacts of cable systems.
